Starchy aroma. Corn-like flavors with a mellow finish. MiP (9157), Sønderborg, Denmark

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Nov 18, 2005 Gold in colour with lots of carbonation. Smells kind of like regular Warsteiner, with some bread and mineral notes. Perhaps there’s a bit of a veggie hop element in there too. The palate is thin and slightly astringent. Not much beer flavor there... just kind of a watered down malt sweetness and a greater contribution of veggie tasting (and not in a good way) hops. highlandlad (1275), Sydney, Australia
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Oct 4, 2005 Decent low-alcohol beers are rare. This isn’t one of them. Poured a very pale gold with a quick-diminishing 0.5cm head. Genuinely beery aroma but poor quality: wort, wet cardboardy malt, boiled turnip and faint lemony hops. Over-carbonated soda water body - correction, this has little or no body at all. It makes water seem chewy. Tastes mainly of sweetened CO2 with a tart lemon bitterness in the swallow. Tolerable but why bother. (330ml bottle) Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark

This one belongs in the latter category. Very pale golden with a white head. Flavours of sulphur and cardboard - not exactly what I like in beer. Things get a wee bit better as it warms, but not much. Always have another beer close by to cleanse your mouth, if you try the Warsteiner NA. 160800 Nekronos (2265), Xalapa, Mexico

| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Aug 5, 2005 Bottled. Yellowish golden colour with minor white head. Sweaty socks alongwith cooked vegetables in aroma. Extremely unpleasant artificial sweet flavour (sweaty socks?) with some grassy and dishwaterish hints. Unpleasant.
