nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Mar 13, 2009 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear gold color with a two finger white head that lasted forever it seemed. The aroma was bread, grass and malt. The flavor was bread, grassy hops and a bit of butter. This was a very good beer. jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Mar 12, 2009 Bottle. Pours pale gold with a very creamy dense head that lasts a few minutes. Smells of malted grain and bread crust. Tastes of buttery wheat bread and barley. Some nice grassy hops in the finish. Creamy smooth body. Aftertaste is slightly buttery and smooth. Very good stuff. blindeyedbetty (148), Arlington, Virginia, USA Mar 8, 2009 12 oz. bottle pours a melted-buttery yellow with fine white head that disappears almost immediately. Wheaty nose with hint of citrus. Thin body, highly carbonated. A Bud-Lite-ish front palate (what the hell IS that taste?), with a citrusy middle and light hoppy finish. Bland but good enough for what it is. Not too bad for a spring day watching the daffodils bloom. Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Mar 8, 2009 Light pour. Has a bit of a stronger taste than typical light beers, but enough to be memorable. bobinlondon (786), Harrow, Greater London, England Mar 6, 2009 Bottle from well meaning relatives. Bog standard German pils which tasted pleasent enough washing down a take away curry. dwaggs2 (531), Lee’s Summit, Missouri, USA Mar 1, 2009 Bottle, straw yellow pour. Some head to it but not a lot. Very crisp and clean. Weak in aroma and flavor, but it is drinkable. Papillon (172), Sudbury, Ontario, Canada Mar 1, 2009 500 mL Can. Pours a clear bright yellow with a small white head quickly subsiding to a foamy film but leaving good lace on the sides. The aroma is sweet malt, hay, grains, a light grassyness about it, and a faint hint of honey and floral and an innuendo of lemon rind. The flavor is sweet malt with a bitter finish that is well balanced with the malt. The hops come through in the aftertaste but not too overpowering. Smooth carbonation and a somewhat lingering hop aftertaste that I think fits the style. This is one German Pils I really like. A good beer for the money. Prosit! AWS9 (221), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Feb 19, 2009 Bottle... I had a decent review put together in my mind, but instead, I’ll simplify: German pilsener.
