Ut s gold with a decent white head that dense but steadily shrinks to a thin lasting top and leaves no real lace. The aroma is a strong lager smell with strong grain quality, a little mustiness, pine, herbs and hint of sulphur - nice. The taste is grain and a grassy-herbal-flowery sulphur hop quality making it light but tasty, with a nice grain-0bitter hop finish. It’s very tasty. mmmbeer (743), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 28, 2008 Bottle poured into flute- poured transparent light golden yellow, very thin white head formed but bubbled away from high-medium carbonation after a minute, aroma of very faint hops and grain. Hits the mouth with a thin body, wheat and hops are very underpowering even for the style, finish is a little bitter but refreshingly dry. Bit of a letdown for me. fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Bottle. Aroma contains notes of wheat, faint notes of banana, and grassy/floral hops. Flavor is very wheaty with the faint banana roaming as well. Hops aren’t terribly notable in the flavor except to announce their presence, in mild manner of course, but a presence which, combined with the notes of banana and wheat, and the overall drinkability of the beer, makes me wonder why, why, why can’t American macros taste like this? why? | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Bottle. Poured light yellow with a thick white head, lots of carbonation. No real odor, just smelled like a Bud or Heineken. Taste was alright though, some zesty lemony/spicy hops while cold. As it warmed, I got a slight light fruity taste (pear, banana). Also some wheat. I was impressed by this beer for being more complex than I had anticipated. A good beer to chill with. moseslikesbeer (183), conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 20, 2008 bottle. light malty aroma and that’s about it. nice gold color. ok carbonation. no head to speak of at all. very watery. bubbly. kind of odd that it smells malty but I don’t taste malt at all. kind of reminds me of budweiser. this has a skunky palate that leaves me with the "bitter beer face". Description says...A CLASSIC GERMAN PILSENER. I have to question why that is. feel kind of ripped off with what I payed for this bottle. boFNjackson (1262), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 18, 2008 Bottle... Poured pale golden with a white head. This stuff is really
putrid. I was very disappointed with this one as it tastes like Bud or something. Tough to finish a whole
pint of this fermented seltzer. BrewmeisterEd (59), USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 17, 2008 Hmm, pours with no head and extremely pale. Smells skunky - I’d say it was a bad bottle, but I get the same smell (everytime) I drink Heineken - so I think it’s purposeful. <Maybe I’m characterizing the smell wrong - is there another name for this type of sour smell??> Anyway, tastes sweet, a lot like Budweiser (yes, the American one) despite the clear claim that no adjuncts were used. Sort of the German Corona?? While drinkable, not worth the price. A (seldom for me) disappointment. ILduce (133), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours clear golden with a small fine head and lively carbonation; nice lace. Aromas of grassy hops and grain. Tastes hoppy and grainy with traces of sweet malt. Bitter, dry end. Pretty good.
