moseslikesbeer (183), conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 20, 2008 bottle. light malty aroma and that’s about it. nice gold color. ok carbonation. no head to speak of at all. very watery. bubbly. kind of odd that it smells malty but I don’t taste malt at all. kind of reminds me of budweiser. this has a skunky palate that leaves me with the "bitter beer face". Description says...A CLASSIC GERMAN PILSENER. I have to question why that is. feel kind of ripped off with what I payed for this bottle. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Feb 18, 2008 Bottle... Poured pale golden with a white head. This stuff is really
putrid. I was very disappointed with this one as it tastes like Bud or something. Tough to finish a whole
pint of this fermented seltzer. BrewmeisterEd (59), USA Feb 17, 2008 Hmm, pours with no head and extremely pale. Smells skunky - I’d say it was a bad bottle, but I get the same smell (everytime) I drink Heineken - so I think it’s purposeful. <Maybe I’m characterizing the smell wrong - is there another name for this type of sour smell??> Anyway, tastes sweet, a lot like Budweiser (yes, the American one) despite the clear claim that no adjuncts were used. Sort of the German Corona?? While drinkable, not worth the price. A (seldom for me) disappointment. ILduce (133), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 16, 2008 Updated: Jul 14, 2008Bottle-namesake glass. Pours clear golden with a small fine head and lively carbonation; nice lace. Aromas of grassy hops and grain. Tastes hoppy and grainy with traces of sweet malt. Bitter, dry end. Pretty good. MichaelPerch (47), Denmark Feb 16, 2008 I love this.
For those who dislike the aftertaste of a normal beer, this should be just it. nelsonibarruri (51), Uruguay Feb 15, 2008 Botella. Comprada en supermercado. Lo mejor que tiene es el aroma. No es una mala cerveza, pero nada extrordinario. amarga y poco mas. Poca retenciòn de espuma FLnative80 (174), Orlando, Florida, USA Feb 14, 2008 Draft at Mcraney’s pub. Clear, golden color with very little head. Light aroma of hay and grass with a similar but slightly fruity flavor. Thin, watery palate which helps it go down rather easily. Maybe too easily. Derek881 (489), Frederick, Maryland, USA Feb 13, 2008 I had this beer poured out from the bottle in Berlin. It had a grainy, earthy hops aroma; no strong malt aromas. A clear gold color with a foamy white head. The taste was mostly bitter with a sour effect, but not sweetness. It had good carbonation and a medium body. Another decent, but unexceptional pilsner.
