DownsouthGav (602), Greater London, England Sep 17, 2007 A pale yellow lager tasting pils. Usual bud scent, some minerals and stale malt. Certainly not a good beer but helped to wash my burger down adequately. AaronBouchard (128), Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada Sep 16, 2007 500ml can. Light gold in color with a quick foam head. Not much for an aroma. Easy to drink with good aftertaste. Beer that abides by the Barvarian purity law all have a simular natural earthy taste. Over all impression of this beer is pretty satisfiying. clasley (153), Arkansas, USA Sep 15, 2007 330 ml bottle. Pours a pale yellow with a quickly diminishing white head. Sweet nose with malty notes. Light semi-sweet body. Initial sweetness tapers off into a semi-dry lingering finish. smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA Sep 12, 2007 Bottle - generic. I could have rated it without opening the bottle. Mostly malt in the aroma, maybe a touch of spicy hops ... maybe. Very pale yellow with a white head. Kind of soapy. Flavor matches the aroma exactly. Very thin. Not worth the effort. VTHopHead (895), Barre, Vermont, USA Sep 12, 2007 Draft in the Philly airport - Poured a golden amber in color with a small head and relatively low carbonation overall. Aroma is malty with a hint of fruity/estery hops. Flavor is slightly sweet and malty with a small amount of hop flavoring. Flavor is pretty weak. Finish is mildly bitter. Unremarkable at best... Thure (143), Aalborg, Denmark Sep 12, 2007 Golden colour with white head. The aroma is a bit grainy with hints of hops. The flavor is somewhat sweet with a bit of fruit to it. The aftertaste is crisp and clean. A very nice example of a German pils. wshores (57), Saltillo, Texas, USA Sep 11, 2007 Tried this because I love the dunkel, but this fell short. Gold color, no real head. Smooth in the mouth, weak on flavor. Would choose this over most others of this style rodneykm (109), Westminster, South Carolina, USA Sep 10, 2007 Updated: Sep 13, 2008*updated* Had this again a day or so ago. Much better than I had remembered it. Might make this my standard everyday type beer. Love the flavor - just a bit different.
