ghill1218 (9), 29 palms, California, USA does not count Sep 10, 2007 i was nervous about the aroma, couldn’t tell if it was going to be very acidic or sweet, it was definatly a sweet beer, and the head was shortlived, but the taste made up for most everything. although there wasn’t much flavor, it was a balanced sweet beer, the finish was creamy almost oily. i enjoyed it, it was almost to easy to drink. KingofCastle (202), London, Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2007 Updated: Oct 23, 2008can: Again, just not my thing. All these German pils at the LCBO just blend into one sour, thin taste. Gimme a fresh Steamwhistle Pilsner any day. The bitterness in this beer is not unpleasant, would be nice super cold on a hot day. SamGamgee (1396), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA Sep 8, 2007 Updated: Oct 5, 2007rerate: said i wouldnt but it again, but ended up picking up a case in germany. not much to look at with a champagne like body and small quickly dying head. Aoma is dry with some floral hop notes. thin clean body with lively carbonation. Tastes better this time with a definite hop presence and bitter finish. not as malty and sweet as i remember, but its for the better. i’m going to have to up the rating a bit chadcs (76), Westminster, South Carolina, USA Sep 1, 2007 Golden color, slight bitter finish. JoeZasada (133), Beaumont, Alberta, Canada Aug 30, 2007 A good classic pilsner. light and clear, but not weak in taste (not watered down like most north american pislners). Had the 500ml can... douglas88 (1556), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Aug 29, 2007 Updated: Dec 20, 2008Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A nice aroma of grassy and grainy notes. The flavor was full of very clean and easygoing hops, some malt, and lots of grass and light Saaz hops in the finish. Very. very quaffable. Nice and simple, but good.
