Heathen (723), Riverside, New Jersey, USA Jul 23, 2007 THOUGHTS: I’m not much of a pilsener fan, but this is one of the best I’ve had so far. Goes down eaier than most because of less metallic aftertast. Flavor was a little earthy but not in a bad way.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a sparkling, light golden, yellow with beautiful carbonation and an average, white head. the aroma was moderated flower and grass hops and light dough and earth yeasts. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and acidi, while the finish was moderately sweet and lightly acidic and bitter, and sour with an average duration. The light body had fizzy carbonation and a lightly astringent, tad bit metallic finish. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA Jul 23, 2007 Pours a clear deep golden.Very sweet malt, corn, and biscuits, as well as some honey. Lotsa grain, lotsa honey, but pretty damn good for 18.99/24pk cans. NobleSquirrel (1100), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 22, 2007 From the bottle. Quite drinkable, plenty of malt and bitterness drawing through. Something I definitely do not mind drinking if it’s there. dkoonce (880), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA Jul 18, 2007 Bottle. Light gold and clear, with a thick head. Very malty aroma. Smooth and silky body with a light malt flavor. bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA Jul 15, 2007 Aroma of light cooked (or bready?) malt accompanied by some hop. Brassy gold color with a white head that went flat fast. Medium bodied. A bit strongly carbonated. Starts with a fruity sweetness that suggests grape. Not enough bitter to balance. An ok drink, but it’s a bit malty. Needs bitter. The malt keeps the finish from being crisp. LongShotRX (15), Barronett, Wisconsin, USA Jul 14, 2007 A disappointment. A bit sweeter than the bmc types and thats it. Avoid the price and buy MGD if that’s what you’re looking for. Bullit (1300), Glasgow, Scotland Jul 12, 2007 Pale yellow colour. Just the average pilsner, except this one is a bith smoother. Drinkable. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Jul 6, 2007 On tap at Castro’s in the beaches.
