Pils correct. EHSRanders (1121), Randers C, Denmark Apr 19, 2007 Bottle. Clear yellow colour with small white mostly diminishing head. malty aroma with hints of grain and straw. watery palate alexanderj (2212), Chino Hills, California, USA Apr 17, 2007 Bottle; poured a clear gold with carbonation bubbles and some small specks of something. Aroma actually wasnt bad; some hops to complement normal expected aroma. Had a good body and palate; with some noticable hops. A decent beer, but not something I would actively try again. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 15, 2007 Updated: Jul 11, 200812 oz brown bottle. Pop the lid and get a whiff of cabbage family cooked vegetables. After it ends up in the glass it is much more attractive, has a plastic or chemical sterile aroma. The look of this beer is rather different than others. At first I thought that it was full of fine bubbles that was not rising to the top but upon closer inspection I see these are some kind of particles in there floating around. This is interesting and hypnotizing, I hope I just don’t have a bad bottle. I looked in the bottom of the bottle, like a wheat beer, and there is no sludge on the bottom, go figure. Other than that the beer is pale yellow with a ring around the inside of the glass for a head. Very smooth initial flavors. It has the same kind of flavor that the aroma insists. It’s not plastic or chemical in a bad way, it seems very refined and controlled. There is a slight hop or malt bitterness that builds on the back of the throat. Enjoyable with just the right amount of bitter personality. The carbonation provides just the right amount of tingle on the back of your tongue. The bitterness that builds as you drink keeps trying to insult the back of my throat but really never quite gets there. Overall a well mannered refined and cultivated German beer taste. I’m sorry I waited so long to taste this. Veeve (312), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Apr 15, 2007 beer festival. run of the mill generic. kind of nothing. tastes a bit like dirt. maybe this was meant for people after they got drunk who didn’t REALLY want to have beer anymore or couldn’t tell the difference? BREWMUSKCLES (1062), New Jersey, USA Apr 14, 2007 germany can come up with and expect more than this, can’t they!? cornponey with decent body and a nice backwash. i don’t have more time. budweiser of germany. natali (27), Ukraine Apr 12, 2007 Made in Argentina. Good head and golden colour. good body for an industrial beer. Not a wonderful beer but a good choice in this range. Tessic (439), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Apr 11, 2007 This Pil poured a clear yellow with a bright white head. To the nose...typical for this type, corn & malt. First sip is watery and full of corn. Nothing special. Not bad but boring. Palate is the same.
