17thfloor (1402), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 25, 2007 Updated: Jan 19, 2008[rerate] Pours yellow with a medium sudsy head. Grassy aroma. Sweet malt and some very grassy hop bite. Light fizzy carbonation, watery body. Gave it a 1.8 a year ago....tastes better now... but I do remember it being tastless/lifeless the first time I rated it. rickgordon (3285), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 23, 2007 [Canned. Gift from Gnoff]
Pale golden colour. Grainy, bit bold flavour profile with low bitterness. Fatty malts. Pretty useless. Marsiblursi (1631), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 22, 2007 (Canned, thanks Gnoff) Pours pale golden. Light skunk-ish aroma with hoppy tones of herbs mostly but also some grass and maybe some flowers. Malty and grainy with notes of bread and hay. Medium sweet with notes of marzipan. Medium sweet flavour with some hoppy tones. Light bitter and sourish. Malty, light bitter and some tiny off flavours in the finish. Decent, nothing more. Drink4Satan (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Mar 22, 2007 What do expect from a german pils. It’s smooth, that’s about it. Even compared to other pilsners, this beer has very subdued, grassy/sweet flavours with almost no hops. Eh. I prefer a Prima Pils or Pilsner Urquel. I just hate grainy beers. Good alternative for women who usually drink BL. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA Mar 21, 2007 Pours a light almost translucent gold with a faint head. Aroma is very grainy. Flavor is grains, sweet malts and a touch of citrus. A pretty bland but refreshing pilsner. A decent summer beer I would guess. pubbe (493), Højbjerg, Denmark Mar 21, 2007 Bottle. yellow with a thin white head. Malt and hops in the somewhat weak aroma. A little malt and slightly more hops in the flavor. Rather watery on the palate. Short, primarily bitter finish. Rictus (126), Camdenton, Missouri, USA Mar 14, 2007 Light ever so slightly skunked aroma. Pretty clear bubbly gold color. Hoppy, alittle skunked (at such small amount skunk might be a good thing to some) very light taste. Very little aftertaste (except for the hops). Can’t detect much flavor at all. Best drank cold. Watery highly carbonated feel. It was alright. Good for a cheap beer. Rather have killians though if I wanted to go this cheap. TheGrandMaster (1846), Auckland, New Zealand Mar 12, 2007 Draught, a clear gold with a large foamy white head. A malty aroma with a hoppy grassiness. Quite smooth with a crisp finish. Malty with some citrus hop.
