Tastes of corn, mild grassy hops, and grains. Light and refreshing, but nothing special. shawnm213 (913), South Bend, Indiana, USA

German style smelling hops and no skunk in the aroma, the malts are slightly bitter. The aroma is slightly milder than most other German lagers. Taste is bitter it almost has a coffee like flavor but not really, German hops and malts are fairly smooth and blend well together. I’m hitting some earthy notes in the flavor but there very weak, beer finishes with a bready sweetness that is acceptable. Beer is tasty and easy drinking very acceptable brew. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Poured carefully into the tiny 200ml Warsteiner I finally got to use - what good is a 200ml glass?? Clear weak yellow gold with light effervecence, it still created a monster white rocky cap that suffered a quick death. Sweet dry grass, notable malts and fresh mild yeast makes up the aroma. A good ammount of flavour awaits: upfront malts and an early bitterness that reappears in the aftertaste. The malts, hops and yeast are blended together well as are the sharp grass and bitterness. The yeast became larger as it warmed. One of my favorite Euro Pils to slam back. Bier brauen (210), Bremerton, Washington, USA

This is together with Alfa pilsener my beer for any time.
Tastes great and definetly one of my favourite pilseners.
Pours a beautiful golden colour with a good size head and nice carbonation.
Smell is very hoppy and the taste is hoppy and nicely bittered.
Only dissappointing thing is that the aftertaste. which isn’t too pleasant, sticks around for too long. SmallOne (79), Sweden
