I can see why people like this so much - it’s an extremely drinkable pils that is easy to find in NYC. There’s a slightly odd aftertaste and it’s a bit fizzy.

330ml bottle bought at a supermarked in Crete. Pale yellow. Disappearing white foam. Very light malty aroma. Vague taste of malt extract. Dry finish. Not exactly "Eine Königin unter den Bieren" (28.05.2006).

Initially sharp, but then fizzy and bitter. A little rough on the palate; almost ’bread-like;’ has a real ’bready’ taste to it. Not much aroma; bittering hops are overpowering. Finishes dry AND watery, if that’s even possible; it sounds funny, but it’s true. Overall, I found it interesting, but a little lacking.

500. Pours a crystal clear pale gold with a loose white foamy head. Skunky nose that also shows some peppery bitter hop with earthy undertones. Kind of a compromise there. Creamy medium body, could be a little crisper, probably. Toasty, nutty, some dry leaves on the mid-palate. Long finish of dark toast.

12 oz bottle. Clear pale gold color with thin white head. It has that pale grainy maltiness to the aroma. I can also pick up on the smell of floral spice hops. Tastes just as it smells with grainy Munich style malts plus floral spicy hops. Refreshing brew although a bit lacking in depth. It also comes off a bit watery. There is a nice hop bite that lingers in the aftertaste.

Pale yellow gold, generous head with medium retention. Sharp grainy aroma, faintly hoppy. Light in the mouth, mostly grainy pale malt with a subtle hop bitterness in the finish. Not nearly the amount of bitterness I expected, given some of the other classic german pilseners I’ve tried.

This is just another example of a crappy american version of a german pilsner. There is no body, no flavor, just bitter watered down essences of malt backed up by some grassy, acidic flavors.
