Crystal pale pils with a buttery sweetness, elegantly tempered by a crisp finishing dryness. Not remotely representative of the (typically much more bitter) style of most German Pilseners, but bready, delicate, appetising and...delicious?Draught sample(s) at a sausage stall in Lubeck. Corn, malty aroma, some cereal flavor, with mild hop bite. Fresh, but a bit bland. Nuffield (2749), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 14, 2002 Aroma reminded me of pulling a frozen pizza out of its wrapper--the smell of frozen cardboard and frozen mozzarella cheese. Low bitterness, slightly dusty flavor, and slightly watery, with less body than I would have thought it deserved. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 15, 2004 This is just another example of a crappy american version of a german pilsner. There is no body, no flavor, just bitter watered down essences of malt backed up by some grassy, acidic flavors. IrishBoy (2728), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2008 On tap at a local german restaurant - maybe I’m missing something, but I thought this was quite good, and it went very well with my food - light, crisp, and clean - moderate body, with some light sweet malts up front - floral character builds and makes way for a nice spicy kick of noble hops, drying the beer out for a grassy finish - quite hoppy for a german lager, but I liked it. nick76 (2694), Tampa, Florida, USA

And the flavor that it has is sour. Probably the worst German beer I have ever had. Its the Coors Light of Germany. Leave this one on the shelf or use it as a paper weight.
