This beer has chemical and skunky undertones and is weak on flavor. And the flavor that it has is sour. Probably the worst German beer I have ever had. Its the Coors Light of Germany. Leave this one on the shelf or use it as a paper weight.

Re-Rate 10/20/02: A clear light gold color on the pour, the head is mountainous, frothy, long lasting, and the lace gauzy. Nose is malt, clean and crisp. Front is malt, the top reedy, the finish is amazingly hopped for a pilsener, modest carbonation, and a very dry long lasting aftertaste. ’Lagers/Pils, will never be my beer(s) of choice, but this one is drinkable and a nice session beer. Ranks #914 on my current 1000 beer master list.

Drinkable. I like the tall, skinny bottles. This is a garden variety pils -- on the dry side with a thinnish palate, but it's an excellent cookout/summer brew.

Pale yellow beer with a white head. Somewhat sour brewing mashy aroma with a little hops. Quite hoppy flavor with a good bitterness. Quite flavorfull for a lager.

Clear golden yellow body with a medium white head. Sweet honey aroma. Some light grain and some light grassy hops.

Pours a very pale yellow golden with thin white head. Decent aroma of crisp malt and grassyness (German lager). Light and crisp beer, ideal for a session beer. Crisp, grassy with a light hop touch and a clean light slightly sweet corn malt background. One of the better mass produced lagers.

[315-20070514] 250mL. Light plastic skunk aroma with some floral notes. Clear, pale yellow body with tiny bubbles along the sides and a medium-lasting bubbly white head. Same plastic yeast flavour with a bit of grainy earth. Light body. Not pleasing but... nicely bubbly.

Great hops aroma. Sweet, light, and crisp. Nice white head on a light yellow (actually, a little too pale) body. Light carb and body. Crisp and refreshing, nice balance of sweet and hops. One of my favorite classic Ger. pils.
