Light malt taste and clean, bitter finish that is faint. Thin and watery. I’m insulted by this beer, which you can get everywhere in Deutschland, home of the Reinheitsgebot. Pretty bad stuff. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 29, 2004 Light golden-yellow colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma is malty and slightly metallic (possibly due to the fact that it came from a can). Body is crisp and fresh. Flavour is sweet and malty with a dry and decently hopped finish. A simple and well-balanced warm weather beer. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Aug 20, 2005 12 oz bottle pours pale golden with a white head that dissipates rather quickly. Aroma is of hay and new sneakers. Flavor is grainy. Some barley and corn taste followed by a semi bitter hop finish. On the palate this is crisp and clean. I’m surprised that this beer claims to be Germany’s number 1 anything. Drinkable but that is it. Volgon (2490), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

Starts and ends lightly bitter with a grainy ending. KAggie97 (2481), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 10, 2005 Pours a clear yellow with a low head. Taste is classic pilsner, with light malt and hops. It’s not the best beer going, but beats the heck out of American macros. A light offering that makes a good session beer. Mungo (2473), Southampton, Hampshire, England

Light spicy straw hop aroma with perhaps a little almost fruity English edge to it. Smooth malt body.Quite drinkable but other than the delicate hops at the start not much of interest. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
