Keep in mind that I’ve had a Stella Artois tonight, and this is significantly better. Some hopcit taste and aroma, and a fairlt smooth finish. I won’t ever have this again, but I’d drink it if it was the only beer available on a desert island. ChristianScheffel (4554), Odense, Denmark

Good bready malt with sharp german hops, crisp and refreshing in mouth. Medium bodied. Thanks to our CBC! Ernest (4491), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 5, 2002 Updated: Aug 4, 2007Bottle (BB Apr 23, 08). Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs), hints of soap and DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not the most consistent, I’ve found, but this was a nice sample (and seemingly fresh based on the exp. date). muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 17, 2002 Very pale, thinnish looking, little fast-dying head. Aroma kinda skunky, despite brown bottle. Flavor is fresher, but pretty bland on the whole, with bitterness only entering at the end. Below average pils for sure; I once had a terribly old bottle of this, years ago when my then-girlfriend and I were still on a mainstream German lager kick, and I think it helped me move on to a higher level (my next purchase I believe was Mackeson XXX). Fresher, this beer is not much better than what I remember, but thanks Warsteiner for helping me to find beers better than you! motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 16, 2004 Mild grain aroma and flowery hops. Clear golden colour with plenty of bubbles and thick white head that sticks to the sides of the glass as it recedes. Mild bitterness and gentle cereal flavour with a slight sweetness and subtle pepperiness in the finish.Body is very light and refreshing. This a very good if somewhat simple beer. Bottle.
