Flavor also features a sweet malt foundation and a well-rounded but mild hop top-end. Body is medium-light--appropriate to the style, and is very smooth. In sum, this is a very restrained offering, and one might want a little more assertive flavor, but the elements and balance here are good---a very decent German export beer. One of the few German beers that I can easily find in most stores. Far better than its American counterpart, special but not amazing. FishManLA (300), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 2, 2008 Golden straw color. Fizzy head that quickly dissipates. Typical lager/pilsener carbonation. Almost no aroma. Grain/malt taste that’s clean, fresh and simple. dpe111 (6), Argentina does not count | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2008 A little hoppy on the nose, nice balanced flavor between malts and hops with a little yeasty flavor. Oily with medium bubbles, nice golden color. Head could be a little more dense and lacks body on mouth.
An average german pils. smjohnst (203), , Pennsylvania, USA

This is together with Alfa pilsener my beer for any time.
Tastes great and definetly one of my favourite pilseners.
Pours a beautiful golden colour with a good size head and nice carbonation.
Smell is very hoppy and the taste is hoppy and nicely bittered.
Only dissappointing thing is that the aftertaste. which isn’t too pleasant, sticks around for too long. Onslow (180), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA
