Aroma is slightly lemony, with some hops notes. There is a small malt presence with a mild fruit/citrus taste. There is a touch of bitterness (not much) and the finish is clean. I don’t much care for Pilsener’s, but this is pretty good for one. I agree that life is too short to drink cheap beer, but I’m not too sure this is what it’s supposed to mean. It’s like a heine with some extra balls. Papsoe (14996), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Soft and slightly sweetish. But first and foremost this is mild - much milder than the typical North-German pilsener. Only a discreet hoppy finish. Very pleasant. 141099 and 100205 thornecb (1777), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden into flute glass with dense rocky white head. Nose is Grassy, mildly soapy hops and breadiness, also some raw not so pleasant grain aromas. Flavor is soft bread, fresh grains, with fresh herbal hop flavors and lightly oily hoppy bitterness in the finish. A solid pilsner built for drinking in quantity. puboflyons (606), New Hampshire, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 25, 2009 From the 11.2 fl. oz. bottle marked 10 Jun 09-17:45. It pours a golden yellow with a half-inch fizzy head and slow upwardly mobile carbonation. Not a lot of lacing. The aroma is well malted, lightly hopped, and bready. The mouthfeel is a average. The taste has a nice, smooth maltiness to it with a weakly tart hoppy ending. But the whole beer is darn smooth and fairly likeable. I have always kind of liked this one so now I am finally rating it...and a bit better than others it appears.
