Pours from bottle with a huge fluffy head, typical of a North German Pils. Clean aroma, but not much in the way of hops, which surprises me. Distinctive malt and hops flavor. Easy drinking beer. I liked it a lot.

On tap at Chalet Alpina, Forest Hills, Queens, NYC. Clear golden yellow pils having a small white head with fair lacing. Fresh sweet malt and hop aromas. Soft carbonation. Light bodied that starts with clean tasting sweet malt and hop flavors. Finishes dry with lingering hop bitterness. A clean refreshing pils beer. Goes great with smoked pork loin and pickled red cabbage.

Bottled. It had a malty and grainy taste. Although it had a slight, bitter aftertaste, but it was not offensive enough for me to throw it to the bins. Warsteiner is way better than Beck’s in my opinion.

Carmelly, rich at start. Not a lot of carbonation. Smooth with an earthy finish.

Love this. It’s true life is too short to drink cheap beer. Love walking around the old american concentration camp during a german festival. Cute girls walking around and dudes in lederhosens. I hang out under the oak trees drinking straight from the pitcher. Oh best time of the year.

This is a nice German-style pilsner (which is by definition good in my book) but not as good as others. Ut s gold with a decent white head that dense but steadily shrinks to a thin lasting top and leaves no real lace. The aroma is a strong lager smell with strong grain quality, a little mustiness, pine, herbs and hint of sulphur - nice. The taste is grain and a grassy-herbal-flowery sulphur hop quality making it light but tasty, with a nice grain-0bitter hop finish. It’s very tasty.

*updated* Had this again a day or so ago. Much better than I had remembered it. Might make this my standard everyday type beer. Love the flavor - just a bit different.
