CelticBrew (457), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Apr 11, 2008 Pours blond with a tall foamy white head. Aroma is crisp and a bit grassy and mixed with some European hops. Taste is carbonated and grassy. Some malt but generally pretty crisp and refreshing. A decent summer type beer or for whenever it’s hot. Finish is a bit sharp and the palate is carbonated. Not horrible, but more of an everyday refresher, especially when working on the lawn.
ScoWRee (215), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 29, 2008 Pours a pale golden color with a huge white foamy head. Aroma is wheaty grassy. Taste is slightly bitter a little watery. A hint of hops.
Not much here. Slayer85 (441), Firenze, Italy Aug 25, 2008 Canned. A clear pale yellow beer with a very small (almost nothing) and disappearing white head. Not a great appearence. The aroma has light cerals, some malt and a decent grassy hoppiness. The flavour is quite weak and with a metallic note. Quite mild with the hops for a Pilsner. Light to medium body, lively carbonation, dry not much long finish with almost medium bitterness. A bit watery, but overall not awful. CaptBier (240), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Aug 23, 2008 Bottle. Yellow with a nice white head. Aroma and taste are both pretty sweet. Just an average pils. Mogwai (175), Askeby, Denmark Aug 22, 2008 Bottle. Straw yellow with short-lasting white head. Aroma is very sour and bitter. Mouthfeel is actually sweet for a pilsner, at least to begin with, but then the very, very unpleasant taste of pilsner comes through and leaves your taste buds appalled. Flavor is repulsive. tarheels86 (25), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours almost a neon yellow with good carbonation and a bright, white head that diminishes almost completely. Lacing is there but not prevalent. Initial taste is a bitter Pilsner but somewhat watery compared to Czech versions. Aftertaste is metallic and unpleasant. Overall fairly expensive and not really that special. Would probably not buy again or order at a restaurant/bar.
