Reviewed 2/10/2009 (bottle): Pours an extremely clear, light amber colored body. Small white head, quickly diminishing. Carbonated malty sweet aroma. Sweet fruity citrusy. Syrupy, sweet lemony malty taste. Cider-like but then the maltiness kicks in. Very carbonated. Very cloyingly sweet and dry.

Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. Poured hazy yellow color with a moderate frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate lemonade citrus aroma. Medium body with a stlicky texture and soft carbonation. Moderate sweet citrus flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Sweet lemonade with alcohol.

At an trinkgut Gülden in Bonn/Godesberg. Yellow, small head, nice gentle lemon, stil some beer hinds, like grain and hops, I like ratler on a hot sunny day, but now it aint.

I didn’t know what I was getting in to when I bought this drink. I thought it was beer. Looks like any light German beer but the aroma was lemons. WTF? Tastes like a really good lemonade drink. I couldn’t detect any beer flavor or alcohol. I would say this is an ideal drink for people who don’t appreciate the taste of beer but want something refreshing on a hot day with very little alcohol. Kind of like a "shandy". Anyway I enjoyed it very much as a lemonade but it did shock my tastebuds! Keep it away from the little kids. They would just swill this stuff like lemonade!

Warsteiner Radler from Edelweis in Portland, OR--Isn’t this against the purity law to have a German fruit beer? Poured a faint yellow-golden body with a thin white head. Bright lemon flavored nose with some crackery biscuit bite. Lemon was calmed on the palate by the crisp grainy finish. Not too bad, but I don’t like the sugary factor.

Bottled. Medium gold body with a few lazy bubbles. Initially, this was liek smelling frozen lemonade concentrate. It really didnt’ get much milder, possible hints of lemon bread? The taste was mostly lightly watered down sweet lemonade. Might as well be drinking a sprite. Refreshing, but too sweet for my tastes.

Pours a decent yellow with a nice white head. Aroma is artificial sweetener-infused lemonade, with a touch of lemon grass. Flavor follows suit, but adds a splash of agave juice. Average mouthfeel. Quite refreshing, actually. Damn the torpedos and up the irons!

Pours a bubbly golden yellow color. Aroma was initially skunky, but settled down. Tastes just like ginger ale. Fruity. 11.2 oz. bottle.
