clear rich auburn brown colored pour with a small tan head and some spots of drippy lacing.
the aroma is quite faint and hard to read... some plummy fruit, brown sugar, nuts, grain and a little (yet noticeable) sourness.
the flavor follows the same path... dirty, watered down and a little soured on the finish. faint notes of iced tea florals, burnt nut skin ashiness and chocolate are the only additions to the aroma profile.
the body is light to medium but the mouth feel is watery and flabby. 5/3/5/2/13/2.8

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 8, 2008 Definitely brown. Through and through actually. One of the truest colours to its name in this one. What does brown have to do with Bobsleigh? Well not much probably...but fancy names are all the rage. Nuts, bark and coca cola on the nose. Hits the mouth with dry, flat pine and hops. Some sweet mash in the middle but missing the roasted goodness of a solid brown ale. Medium carbonation. bhensonb (4287), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2008 Bottle from Sun Devil in Mesa, AZ. Pours cola color with a tan head. Has that brown roasted malt aroma. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. First hit is coarse chocolate. Chocolate really dominates this one. Malt is hardly noticeable until the finish. There’s some hop spice too. You could sell this as a Xmas ale.
