Hazy light orange body with quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma is grassy, with a little bit of spiciness. Flavor is smooth and relatively light, decent grassy hoppiness without much bitterness. No idea what makes this a winter beer, as it has none of the characteristics I associate with a winter seasonal. In fact, I think it’d be nice on a hot day. That being said, it’s a decent beer, particularly with the obvious qualifier of it being subject to Utah’s 3.2% alcohol law.

Red brown with huge tan head. Most carbonation I have ever seen. Fruit malt nose. Tart and astringent. Refreshing

This was a fine Xmas ale. There was a good balance with the malts and hops. The overall flavor was crisp and was very pleasant to drink. I wish it had more bite. Golden copper color with a good amount of spices. Good Beer

The things I drink for winter beer. OK, nothing spectacular. Bad nose, smells like a skunky lager. Not particularly hoppy, not particularly spicy, not particularly flavorful. Odd color, very light for a winter, just a hazy peach-gold.

On tap in Park City, Utah. After perusing some of the ratings, this beer seems to be very different to everyone. Maybe the recipe has changed over the years. Anyway, here is my take. Pours a clear copper color with a large foamy white head. The aroma is very nice; full of ripe citrus hops. The taste was balanced between caramel malts and a very rich hoppy goodness. More like a Pale Ale really. Very enjoyable. Soft and yet very flavorful. Very enjoyable. I wish they bottled this.

Clear bright orange-amber. Lasting off-white head. Spicy, herbal (rosemary?), gingery aroma. Light-medium body. Light caramel & brown sugar malt flavour w/ an herbal spiciness, ginger, & light hops.

Better then I expected. I bought this thinking it would be barley drinkable and that I could sell it to my roommates and that I’d get to keep the nice wooden crate it comes in. However I’ve already had 6 of the 12. Grassy, spicey, with lots of ginger. Copper color, thin head. Spicey with mellow hops, slightly tart. Interesting, I’ve come to expect darker bigger christmas beers, but this is quite light yet still interesting. Not bad.
