Commercial Description:
This Highly controversial beer is actually a straight forward, well balanced malty amber ale. Tettanger hops provide a subtle spicy character, which balances out this well rounded ale. 1999 Bronze Medal Winner!

Poured a hazy amber color with a thin off-white head. Dull malt with a mild citrus hop note make up the aroma and flavor. Light bodied.

Pours amber as expected. Sweet smell on this brew which ends up having a peat, chocolate, malt flavor to it. Goes down smooth.

Bottle shared by goldtwins. Pours a mostly clear golden brown. Pleasant aroma of molasses and malt. The flavor is very weak malt and frankly not much else. Mild bitterness at the finish. Nothing exciting, but no problems either.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with a 2 finger beige head that leaves great lacing. The nose is caramel malt and earthy hops. The taste is similar with some biscuits mixed in. Medium bodied. Boring, but drinkable.

Draught in Brian Head. Medium orange-brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma was mostly malt but just a little hop in the end. Pretty much the same flavour, very malty and maybe a little hop bitterness in the finish. Average.

Brewed in the USA....... Courtesy of AFI96 thanks waylo !!! Pours a hazy orange color with a small white head. Aroma of caramel and malts. Taste is much of the same !! However there are some spicy notes at the finish. Overall, average ale but kind of boring.

Holy lord. Disgusting. Near undrinkable, in fact. Pure butter and rancid hops and cabbage. Unbelievably buttery finish. Absolutely disgusting.
