| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Apr 13, 2007 Pours a brownish amber color w/ a medium sized, semi creamy froth. Decent head retention w/ thick, sticky residual lacing. Aroma is brisk w/ cocoa caramel malts. Medium nectar w/ soft residual effers. A malty caramel backbone sets the pace while a slightly acidic hop component balances it out. Mild citrus rind spice combats cocoa caramel malt balls in an endless battle for the finish. Not a bad brew. No off flavors or aromas. The finish is bittered mildly w/ the spicey rind acid. Braudog (3774), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 11, 2007 On draft at an Ogden restaurant under the 2002 label; very dark for an "amber" with a standing head. Sweet aroma of malt grain. Followed with lightly carameled malt flavor, lightly bittered, very smooth and centerist overall. Quaffable and well made, but not distinct from say Amber Bock. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 22, 2007 An interesting brew that tries to pack real flavor into a low-g beer, I actually liked SOME of the flavors. In the end it was thin and finished with an off-metallic note that ruined it for me. bhensonb (4365), Woodland, California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Smell is okay; pretty malty. Taste is pretty much by the style, except the malts aren’t overpowering. Light tasting, a given with the alcohol content, but a decent beer nonetheless.
