| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 10/20 | Sep 23, 2008 Bottle from rkuhnel. Blech, this beer is a mess. First off, it was a gusher. Not expecting that out of a pale ale, I wasn’t prepared with a glass, or a sink nearby, so I did the old hand-on-top-of-the-bottle trick. That worked somewhat well, but hand could not keep up with the pressure, and I sprayed the occasional beer super-soaker across the apartment as I made a beeline to the sink. Good times.
Aroma is very biscuity and noodley. A touch of hops. The flavor is somewhat lactic, kind of thi, biscuity, and tastes slightly infected, which wouldn’t be a surprise considering the gusher. However, it is very easy drinking, so that’s a plus. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
