Added to my RB list to check "Utah" as a beer state consumed. Fad beer that has more to it in the label than in the beer. Thin body, average flavor, little interest in the appearance. Could be so much more than just a label.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 1, 2007 12 oz bottle thanks to Padrefan98. Cola brown with a fizzy cola head. Aromas of chocolate, and burnt sugary toffee. Touches of raisin too. Sweetness is left behind when tasting. Burnt malts and bitter dustiness come off the very prickly carbonation. Not Great. grant (792), Long Beach, CA/Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 26, 2007 Dark brown, fair amount of quickly dissipating puffy head. Aroma prominently of lightly roasted coffee, folgersish. I get some light chocolate here, but it’s mostly COFFEE with some nuttiness. Dry roast and more coffee in the flavor. Finishes thin, little bitterness, prickly carbonation. These fellows have to work under some restrictions, for sure, but I think they could do better. riversideAK (2731), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 24, 2007 There is an aroma of coffee for the most part. A little roasty and nutty as well. Pours dark brown with small head. Flavor is mostly bitter coffee. A little hops come through but not in a pronounced way. I expected this to be more robust and flavorful really. But it was bland, watery, and boring. I guess these Utah beers are all this way? Nate (2552), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 21, 2007 Draught from airport (SLC) brewpub. Roasted, toasted malty aroma. Bit of smoke and bitter coffee. Chocolate notes. Light neutral hoppiness. Medium-dark brown clear, with thin light tan head. Watery body with medium-heavy carbonation. Starts with a light roasted character, a little burnt. Medium dry nuttiness, with some coffee and very little sweetness. Finish is mildly bitter, kind of astringent, with very little taste overall. Weak. Soonah (940), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Poured a thin, cola-like brown with tons of ruby highlights. The head was one-finger tall and only offered minimal lacing. The aroma was smoke, thin malt, some sugar and even a bit roasted barley. The flavor was weak smoke, thin chocolate and some malt. Slightly sour. The body was thin to medium. The finish lingered. Average. padrefan98 (788), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 15, 2007 6 pack purchased at a state run liqour store in Utah. Pretty tasteless porter. Dissapointed in this one since the name had me curious. Something about the idea of multiple wives and beer.
