Big Tan head that calmed down to a meduim hat. Slightly sweet roasted malt charactor that is a bit tannic and chalky with a touch of fruit. Mouth feel is on the thin side. Finnisges very nutty and roasted. Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 17, 2004 Dark brown color, small tan head that faded quickly. The aroma was malty fruity and bannana with maybe a faint hint of hops.Mild malt flavor with a mild bannana and possibly some mild sweet chocolate. It starts out fairly sweet and turns mildly bitter in the end with a faint appearance of hops in the end of the tasting. Not bad,i’m not a real big fan of Bannana flavor in beer but this one seems decently done. Thanks go to Buck Dich for sending this brew my way. presario (2996), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 8, 2004 Creamy mouthfeel without a heavy body. Dark with light foamy head and lacing. Nice feel but very thin flavour-wise. Goes down smooth. Some roasted notes in the finish. Not much for aroma. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 3, 2004 Clearish mahogany brown color, thin off- light brown head that lifted quickly away, lacing in minimal spots. Aroma is of choclate milk that has just enough touch of toasted/roasted grainy malts underneath to give it some complexity. Taste is mostly chocolatey with a favorable milky flavor that has a nutty toastyness within some of the finish that I really liked. There’s a bit of roasted coffeeness to it too thats mellow on the bittering and keeps the chocolate tones from going into something maybe a bit to much. The feel is what lacks within, a bit thin throughout, clean and dry finish thats not bad, actually quite good, it just needs some body with a bit of heft and some creamyness. Still enjoyed the hell out of this beer while in my hiking and camping days in Utah. Maybe because I was really thirsty that I reviewed with such high numbers, but sometimes its just about that. During my ten days in Utah I had quite a few stinker beers and this wasn’t one of them. Call me crazy or thirsty, its not bad at all.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2004 Good color, thin head, little to no lacing. Roasty aroma and sweet up front, lingering maltiness and roasted flavors, but nothing too complex. Fairly enjoyable though. egajdzis (3631), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 12, 2004 Poured a bubbly dark red/brown color with a small tan head and some lacing. Aroma of sweet chocolate, vanilla and roasted malt. Rather weak mouthfeel, too much carbonation for a porter. Watery with roasted notes. That is all. Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 19, 2004 This porter pours with a dark brown body topped by a medium thick, quickly disappearing head with some lacing. The aroma is slighlty sweet and slightly bitter with malty notes. Not much else to talk about actually. The flavor is slightly bitter, roasty and malty with a slight sourness. Medium to full bodied, tingly from the carbonation and slightly dry. kbjames (242), Utah, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 10, 2004 THis is a standard Utah beer, low ABV with lots of surprising taste for such a low ABV brew. A lot of roast and bitterness in this guy, not a bad brew
