Commercial Description:
This German-Style lager is a big beer. A very big very big beer. We think it will earn some "Big Love" from the folks in the Land of Zion. We predict once this beer is discovered "Utah will never be the same". We ask, as with all our products, you enjoy this brew with care and caution.

Tap @ BBF: Pours an amber color with white head. The nose is rich and full with lots of raisins, fig and cherry along with a gamut of dark caramels and light dried fruits. The flavor is balanced though with an earthy dry body and a light twang of hops in the tail. Nice doppelbock, unassuming from Utah!

12 oz bottle - Pours a fairly clear orange/amber color with smallish tan head. Aroma is somewhat floral, with rose water and honey up front, fair amount of light caramel and toasted malts, hints of mint, lemon zest, and tobacco. Flavor is malty, dry, with caramel and faint oak, lemon, earthy notes. Finish is just towards the sweet side of balanced. Overall this is pretty decent - not amazing, but not bad.

Draft @ BBF - Deep born with amber highlights and a small frothy off white dose of foam. Nose of sweet candied fruits and simple spices. Medium bodied and quite tame on the palate. But enough going on to keep it interesting.

Bottle at Squatter’s in SLC airport. Nice pour. Mahogany brown with a tight head. The aroma is full of rich malt. Indeed this drinks with a full-up caramel kick, strong and rich, particularly for a Utah brew. Good! (#3623, 8/31/2009)

Bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of carmel, dark fruit, brown sugar and earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, brown sugar, earthiness and a hint of dark fruit with a smooth lingering malty finish.

Bottle Pours a clear amber with a decent off white head. The head is mostly lasting and laces well. Aroma is good with hints of brown sugar, caramel, and grains. The carbonation is light but it works well. Has a rather basic flavor. Better than Macros but not real deep. The finish is ok but weak, and no rela great aftertaste. This is okay but not much more.
