Commercial Description:
This German-Style lager is a big beer. A very big very big beer. We think it will earn some "Big Love" from the folks in the Land of Zion. We predict once this beer is discovered "Utah will never be the same". We ask, as with all our products, you enjoy this brew with care and caution.

Clear and deep copper. Creamy beige head. Sweet, nutty-toasty nose. Medium body; prickly carbonation up front; finished soft. Malts had notes of sweet nuts, dark caramel, toffee and burnt toast. Plant-like bitterness was balancing. Lesser notes of earth, peat and smoked wood. Decent beer.

I love a good doppelbock, but this wasn’t one. Very disappointed as I don’t think I’ve ever had an ’average’ doppelbock before. ’Enjoyed’ at Squatters in Salt Lake City.

Bottle from Dad. Amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, light alcohol, raisins, a sweetness. Taste is lightly malty, raisins, light alcohol, a faint smokieness.

This is the new Wasatch beer. It has replaced the Wasatch Pale Ale, I am a little bummed about that, but... Pours a super clean/clear dark golden brownish color, nice carbonation, small fizzy off-white head, very minimal sticky lacing. The nose is very malty, slight vanilla/sweetness, some spices, and lots of caramel. The taste is malty, slightly sweet at first sip, spicy, and lots of caramel. The alcohol is hidden very very well, just a slight warming effect. Medium body. Drinkable, this is a pretty tasty brew, it’s no where near a Celebrator, but it is nice, very drinkable. Also, I would consider this brew, more of an hyped-up amber ale.

Deepred-brown pour with a foamy and lacy tan head. Aroma of roasty malt, toffee, brown sugar and ripe fruit. Nice flavor of smooth sweet malt, toasted nuts brown sugar and a touch of fruit. A touch watery on the palate, but nicely carbonated. A little alcohol and spice linger on the finish. A very nice brew.

12 oz bottles from State Liquor Store (SLC) and Douglas88. Nose of brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, and a background plum note; dark rusty red with a medium beige head; flavor has some coffee, caramel, nuts, and fruitiness. Finish is a very light bitterness and alcohol warmth.
