Commercial Description:
Curt Schilling came to town and promised us a World Championship and you know the rest of the story...Call it hindsight or a reason to brew with a catchy name, but either way, we created a prelude to the passion of baseball imbibing with this very light yet full bodied rendition of a scotch Eport with a famous Edinburg yeast strain. Brewed with the premium Maris Otter Pale Malt , this beer has a gravity and a ABV that would rival any american league pitcher!

~8oz glass @ brewpub. Billed as an Amber and Scottish mix. Color is dark pale, a lot of clarity. Aroma is basic pale ale mixed with a cornish-biscuit. Taste is similarly BMC-ish and corny pale ale. Nothing distinctive, barely a thirst quencher and not recommended. Also not a Scottish ale but more like Pale or maybe Bitter.

on tap-pours a white head with cloudy gold/orange color. Aroma is faint, light malt. Taste is malty, light fruit, slight hops bite. OK carbonation.

Draught pint at the brewery on 4/21/06
Small, but sticky off-white head sits atop a golden-copper body with light strawberry blond tints. Quite clear and lightly bubbly with minor, blotchy lacing, and a mostly well-retained head.
Nose is highly fruity, lovely Edinburgh yeast allowed to ferment at will, throwing out light minerals, earth, apples, cherries, raspberries, strawberries and such. Papery, hay-like hops work their way in and keep things dry, but light pale malts provide just enough sweetness via light sugars. Quite aromatic and decidedly snappy from the hops and esters. A crisp, strong yeastiness and mineral-like note linger on the end for a long while.
Golden delicious apples, fresh white dough and light cherries all combine to create a fresh, flavorful body, with flowery and light hay-like hops that keep things dry, while a strong attenuation and moderate carbonation make it very drinkable. Yellow fruits gain juiciness (pears, nectarines) and are quite prevalent on the end, coupled with the drying yeast and hops. Medium-light body, no alcohol.

Found a couple old notes from a visit to Watch City. Good nose, Sourdough, toasted nuts- almond, peanuts, carmel, Little of a beer and cigarette thing. Orange copper color, clean, small head that faded. Sweet malty flavors, carmel, sourdough, pepper, little corn, little creme soda thing. Thin body, kinda sticky, finishes clean and quick.Tasty enough. Not a big fan of this style.

Art of Beer Festival 2004: Has a amber color and a small white head. Smell is lightly malted. Taste is of light malts and finishes with a slight bitterness. Overall a little too light for my taste.
