goz (359), Chelmsford, Massachusetts, USA Oct 26, 2003 Pours a clear medium amber, maybe leaning closer to red, with a small white head that leaves a bit of lace. Aroma is mostly sweet, assuming that is from the beet sugar used. Flavor is sweet, slightly tart, not much else. Medium bodied. Loses a bit for me as I apparently don't like beets, but another person who tasted it said it wasn't all that "beety". Big taste, with a slight bit of sweetness, made from beets, or so the beer menu said. Excellent overall, I must say.
