on tap-pours a white head and slightly hazy yellow color. Aroma is grain-slightly sweet, citrus. Taste is grain-slightly sweet, citrus, with flat bitterness, perfumy. OK effervescence.

Draught pint at the brewpub, 12/18/05. A wavy copper-yellow, light burnished peach-orange tints, sparsely bubbled through the body, with an immediately and fully diminishing white head that creates little to no lacing. Aroma smells distinctly of apple juice. Sugary-sweet, pasteurized apple juice from concentrate that you would get out of a juice-box. Odd. As it warms, light grains can be sensed from a dry sourdough bread like note. Not sure what creates the apple smell (I’m pretty sure it’s not green apple acetyldehyde), but it must be tied to the yeast, as it is very mineralesque at the same time and I’ve smelled in before (in much smaller doses and more crisply) in this style. Light grassy, skunky hoppiness, hints of toasted grains round it out. Flavor is even more similar to apple juice than the aroma. Coupled with the very low carbonation and loose texture, it begins almost identically to sugary apple juice. The yeast builds lightly and some grains emerge on the finish, giving it a defining beer characteristic, but I’m not able to rid myself of the apple juice comparison while drinking. Hops are only grassy, dry, lightly crisp at best. Sort of a metallic yeastiness on the end that seems to-style, but something isnt right. Sagging texture makes me think this was on too long or just aged too long. Not really sure. Drinkable though, it’s just sugary and lightly grassy and if you don’t mind apple juice, you won’t mind this. No alcohol apparency.

Straw in color with a small white head. Clean aroma with a touch of grainy malt. Bitter hop start with a crisp malt character and a dry finish.

Pours crystal clear yellow, with a miniscule white head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is fairly clean, with a grassy hoppiness being the prominent aroma. Flavor is a bit sweet to starts, and ends with a fairly strong grassy and slightly spicy hoppiness. On the thin side of medium, nicely drinkable.

Clear yellow/orange color, grassy hops aroma, medium bodied, ends clean and boring.
