Watch City Drop Dead Red

11/19/08. 8.1%. Pours a very dark reddish brown with minimal head and almost no carbonation. Aroma is dominated by roasty malt, though citrus and pine poke through there as well. Flavor is almost porter-like... very smooth and sweet roast with a nice resinous hop background. Palate is rich and smooth- velvet with a dryish finish. Not at all in line with the style, but delicious just the same.

Tasted out of a bomber dated 11/19/08. Very little carbonation. Dark reddish brown color with wisps of bubbles scattered across the surface. Good amount of hops still in the nose with caramel filling it out. Flavor is a mellowed hoppiness swathed in simple caramel. Pretty flat. Meh.
