Taste of honey, caramel with a mild hop finish. Nice sweet malted flavor, plenty of caramel and toffee aromas with a semi full mouthfeel. it is a little lighter then i anticipated, but still a nice beer. red éric (1382), montréal, Quebec, Canada May 13, 2008 On tap at the Milwaukee location, amber color, with a small white head, toasty, grainy, malt nose, with a biscuity, cookie dough accent, a subtle dried dark fruity note, hint of toffee in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasty, biscuity, caramelized malt, buttery character, with a flowery hop citrusy accent, with some light leafy, grassy notes, with a faint dried raisin fruitiness, leading towards a malty, hop biterness finish. Skyview (2801), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Apr 20, 2008 On draught at the brewery/brewpub in Delafield, Wisconsin. Pours a light clear copper amber brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a thin white ring. Aroma has a light fish scent with some grassy hops and a touch of caramel malt. Taste is light bodied, some carbonation with a light flavor of caramel malt, some grassy hops. Finish is watery, some light fruit at first and then clean cut and crisp. ubamartian (149), Watertown, Wisconsin, USA Mar 7, 2008 On tap. Clear amber, with an ok white head. Aroma of citrus hops and caramel behind it. Citrus hops bite early and are backed by the caramel. Almost like the Pale ale, but not as strong. Not a very good amber.
