Mar 7, 2008 On tap. Clear amber, with an ok white head. Aroma of citrus hops and caramel behind it. Citrus hops bite early and are backed by the caramel. Almost like the Pale ale, but not as strong. Not a very good amber.

Feb 23, 2008 On tap at the downtown brewpub. Clear medium amber with large off-white head. Hoppy citrus aroma with caramel and light sweetness. Citrus earthy hop bitterness with caramel, dry. Thin to medium body with nice carb. Aroma and apperance are nice but body and flavor does not back it up.

lots of sweet viennia and biscuit malt flavor, light hops keeps nice balance but lets the malt lead, light bitter finish,

Jul 16, 2007 It didn’t seem very amber but just dark in color. It was very malty with only a hint of tartness. Mild and smooth drinking beer.

Jun 11, 2007 On tap at Water Street - Delafield. Poured a clear medium amber with a short cap of white head. Aroma was of sweet caramel and artificial sweetener along with some candy.. very sweet.. faint herbal notes round it out. Very sweet again in the flavor with slightly toasted caramel, candy, floral bitterness, and an odd sourness toward the back. Lighter-bodied with decent balance on the palate.. felt OK.

Jan 28, 2007 From growler. Pours a light amber color with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Taste is pretty much the same. Sort of a dry bland finish. Not bad but certainly nothing special.

Nov 22, 2006 Draught at the brewpub (Downtown Milwaukee location). Clear copper color with thin off white head that didn’t have a prayer of leaving any lace. Smelled of dried cherry, biscuity malt, and light brown sugar. Like so many of their other beers there was a brown sugar malt extract-like flavor that really detracted and was accompanied by a subdued sour note that I couldn’t put my finger on. Eh.

Oct 26, 2005 Amber colored (who’da thunk it?), holding a white, slightly creamy film. No aroma save some light grains. Balanced flavor with a hit of lemon and bitters to finish. Not the greatest, but pleasant and refreshing.
