Had this as part of the sampler pack at the brewery. I really enjoyed this Weiss, tastes like a more dense Franziskaner. Banana and bubblegum are very present, would enjoy again.

On tap @ the Milwaukee location. Slightly hazy golden orange with a small whitish head, low retention--mainly because of the lemon that was served with it, maybe not. Banana and lemon up front with the aroma and flavor. There is also an"old malt" thing going on that’s a little stronger in the aroma. Lemon tang is a little too dominant for me. Whaty finish with minimal bitterness. High carbonation with a light to medium body. Still not that good.

It certainly looks filtered. Yellow and clear. The banana and bubblegum are there, but the sweetness is missing as well as the palate. Thin palate seems to be a problem with all of their beers. This is drinkable enough, even if there was not a lot of effort put into it.

Draft in Milwaukee. Served In proper tall glass. Cloudy golden-orange. Head fades out. Banana-clove aroma, true to style. The yeast comes through solidly in the flavor as well, though not as cloudy and thick as some Bavarians. Smooth and easy, good stuff.

Sampler poured draft at the brewpub (milwaukee, wi). Pours a hazy glowing golden orange with small white head that dissipates to a film. Aromas are light wheat, slight estery banana and clove. Body rounds out similar tastes with some lemon thrown in the mix. Finishes with a bit of a wheaty bitterness which is aided by the lemon. A quencher. Nice.

On tap at Water Street Brewery in Milwaukee. Golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of banana, clove and mild yeast. Taste of banana, clove and light lemon. Grainy body that’s too astringent for a hefeweisse.

Pours a semi cloudy golden colour with a small white head. Lighter then one would expect, still maintains a generous amount of wheat flavor and a distinct banana taste. Very refreshing and citrusy, finishes crisp with plenty of citrus fruit.

On tap at the Milwaukee location, slightly hazy gold hue, with a small head, nice yeasty, bananaish, cinnamon roll. nose, with some good clove spicy accent, with a fruity faint ripe apple note, and some honeyed pale and wheat malt aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity banana purée character, with a wheaty, sweet pale malt note, with some spicy accents of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, with an apple struddel flavor, leading towards a fruity, sweet malty, acidic finish.
