Excellent head, color. Banana and clove in the nose. Lemon slice served on the glass gives it a sour lemony taste as traditional with a fruity long finish. A suprisingly good wheat offering from this brewery!

At Summerfest, the greatest event in the midwest, the Water Street Brewery tent is right outside the Marcus Ampatheater...the stage where the "Big Concerts" are held (eg - this year Top Petty, Foo Fighters, Ben harper, Kenny Chesney). So, there are a limited number of general admision tickets for these concerts, but you have to get there early to get them. Well, it has become tradition to get a handstamp for these concerts, then, since everyone usually gets seperated in the mad dash for said tickets, meet at the Water Street brewery tent right outside the gate. The moral of this story is there is nothing better on a 90 degree day then after running for tickets for a kick-a$$ concert then this beer. I like their other beers a lot too, but this one I will always order to refresh me on a hot day after getting handstamps.

After several of this pub’s so-so offerings, this one really was a pleasant surprise. Excellent lemony wheat beer, very well-balanced, good color and body, strong long finish. Even better than the raspberry-flavored version.

Draft in Milwaukee. Served In proper tall glass. Cloudy golden-orange. Head fades out. Banana-clove aroma, true to style. The yeast comes through solidly in the flavor as well, though not as cloudy and thick as some Bavarians. Smooth and easy, good stuff.

Served with a lemon wedge. A very nice German wheat with good flavor. They definitely used a healthy dose of good weizen yeast in this beer. Pleasant light sourness and good banana/clove profile. One of the better American made German wheats I've tried.

Had this as part of the sampler pack at the brewery. I really enjoyed this Weiss, tastes like a more dense Franziskaner. Banana and bubblegum are very present, would enjoy again.

On tap at the Milwaukee location, slightly hazy gold hue, with a small head, nice yeasty, bananaish, cinnamon roll. nose, with some good clove spicy accent, with a fruity faint ripe apple note, and some honeyed pale and wheat malt aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity banana purée character, with a wheaty, sweet pale malt note, with some spicy accents of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, with an apple struddel flavor, leading towards a fruity, sweet malty, acidic finish.

Cloudy pale yellow with a thin, creamy head. Big banana waft on the first sniff, then joined with some vanilla and cloves. Pretty delicious smell. Flavor is smooth liquid bananas, like a banana smoothie. Vanilla, cloves and pepper are very prominent. Slight lemony / citric bite on the finish and an acidic edge. Carbonation might be a tad too aggressive. Aftertaste is 100% banana bread. One of the brewpub’s better offerings.
