On tap at the Delafield location. Poured deep brown with a well-retained, creamy beige head. The aroma picked up soft chocolate and bready notes upfront with a little earth and faint floral hoppage around.. quite enjoyable. The flavor found toasty chocolate, coffee, and lesser molasses surrounded by earthy accents.. hints of smoke on the back.. tasty and well-balanced. Light-bodied with great use of malts in here.. higher carbonation moved it well across the palate.. dry and well-balanced. This was a great surprise!

Clear dark brown color with slight light passing through it (like cola). Fading white head. Roasty caramel nut aroma. Roasted raisins, coffee, sambuca finish.

Pours a light black with a light tan head. Mildy roasted caramel malt aroma with a lager profile. Body is sweet with a subtle sugary coffee flavor. Could use some more balance, but a decent dunkel.

On tap at Water Street Brewery in Milwaukee. Blacks with a thin tan head. Aroma of light dark malt, caramel, roasted malt and bread. Taste of dark malt, roasted malts, caramel, and light molasses. Body is over carbonated and finishes chewy and astringent.

Dark brown color with a small thin isle of beige bubbles atop. Caramel and creamed corn aromas. Not quite as bad as it sounds. More different than anything else. After the first taste, sweet weak coffee comes to mind. THere is a mild caramel flavor that over toward the end. Seems like a strong brown ale.

Clear brown body. Light aroma, not much out of it beyond gas - maybe some chocolate malt. Gutless flavor - watered down chocolate (tootise roll), coffee grounds, honeydew yeast, strawberry. Light mouthfeel that doesn’t even fit the light flavor. Some cocoa powder in the finish.
