Maybe their best effort...roasted aroma and flavor...a little watered-down in mouthfeel...nice chocolatey finish.

So I was frustrated with the BS of grad school the other night, so I stopped by Water Street and tried this beer. Average stout with a bit of a smokey taste to it. Very tasty and enjoyable.

Pours a nearly dark black color with a thin, tan head. Nice aroma of malts. Taste is abundant with roasted malts, rounded off with chocolate. Light on the carbonation. A little on the thin side. Tasty!

Nearly opaque black with a small tan head. aromas of dark chocolate and mild coffee. Flavors of roasted grains and light coffee. Somewhat thin in feel. Simple, but satisfying.

Dark color and sweet nose. Sort of reminded me of a vanilla porter, but not as sickly artifically sweet. Really watery mouthfeel. No flavor notes really.

Apparently this is a new beer for Water Street Brewery, and its a good effort. A deep brown color with a thick head, smoky scent, and a very smoky coffee taste. Mellowed as it warmed.
