Nearly opaque black with a small tan head. aromas of dark chocolate and mild coffee. Flavors of roasted grains and light coffee. Somewhat thin in feel. Simple, but satisfying.

On draught at the brewery/brewpub in Delafield, Wisconsin. Pours a dark cola brown brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a fine film and thin off-white ring. Aroma of toasted dark malt, dark chocolate and a touch of coffee. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with some toasted and slightly burnt dark malt with some dark chocolate. Finish has a dark malt and chocolate aftertaste and even some toasted dark bread in there.

Deep black pour with a creamy off-white head. Bitter roasted coffee dominated the aroma and flavor. Rather light mouthfeel for the style. Finish was of deeply roasted coffee. I really didn’t pick up much chocolate. This one wasn’t bad, but it was quite one-dimensional.

Pours a nearly dark black color with a thin, tan head. Nice aroma of malts. Taste is abundant with roasted malts, rounded off with chocolate. Light on the carbonation. A little on the thin side. Tasty!

Sample at Delafield. Decent raosty aroma and flavor. Medium bodied beer smooth on palate. If there would of been chocolate flavor in mine this would of made it better. Roasted coffee aftertaste.

On tap downtown. Excellent pour, nice fall out of the forced bubbles, cascading into two separate layers. Color was pitch dark black, head was generous, and th ehead gave nice lacing the whole way down. The aroma was lightly roasted chocolate. The flavor was lightly hopped (resinous pine detectable), yet somewhat strong for the style (but in a nice way), chocolate most prominent, and it was a roasted chocolate. Roasting was definitely gentle in the big scheme of stouts, yet again a little strong (but in a nice way) for a dry stout. Neat product, enjoyed the interpretation.
