On draught at the brewery/brewpub in Delafield, Wisconsin. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of malty caramel, some flowery hops, a touch of toffee and brown sugar. Taste is light to medium bodied, some carbonation with light flavors of caramel and flowery hops. Finish is watery with little aftertaste if any.

On tap. Poured a clean amber with a thin white head. Mostly malt aroma with a bit of light floral hops in the back. The flavor was ok, starts out with the malts, then slips into the spicey bite of light hops to balance. ok, not great.

On tap in Delafield. Clear amber with a thin head. Little to no lacing. Strong malt aroma. Clean drinking with a slight sweetness. Pretty solid for style.

My favorite of the Water Street beers. It was very malty and smooth to drink. Surprisingly there were not the classic Octoberfest flavors

From growler. Pours a copper color with a thin off white head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is dry and smokey. Finishes with a slight marzen flavor.

Draught at the brewpub (Downtown Milwaukee location). Clear orange color with absolutely no head and no lacing. Smelled more like a vanilla milkshake than a beer. The malt extracty flavor in several of their other beers was prominent in this one with notes of dried cherry, vanilla, and sour apple.

On tap at the brewpub into a dimpled mug. Once again I’ll pimp a Water Street beer in the face of lower reviews. Tan fizzy head diminishes to a patchy dusting over a glowing copper beer with lots of visible effervescence. Sweetish taste at first. The carbonation is tingly but not distracting, dissipates to reveal a blackberry like sweetness with dark maize that is gently dry and lingers in the finish. Body is refreshing. Highlight flavors of cotton candy, brown sugar, and autumn-tasting apricot intertwine with the earthy-grainy harvest backbone that’s almost peaty. Smells like a barn housing hay bales and corn left over from last year’s harvest, and butter. Completely appropriate to the style and the season; tastes great. I even came to enjoy it more as I got to the dregs (it was my first beer of the afternoon, so it was not because of the alcohol), so I bumped the overall up one from my initial notes.
