Poured a medium copper color with a small sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of caramel, light toffee, nuts and citric oranges. CaptainCougar (5517), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 1, 2003 Dark brown with a decent lacing head. Aroma is big on malt, as is the body which I found to be a little too sweet and bitter for the style. The finish was too sticky and long-lasting to make this a real winner. Also, too much of an American yeast profile. JPDIPSO (4921), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 20, 2003 I was looking forward to this, as this is the season, But as I returned to the table after taking the kids to the restroom, the busboy had cleared what was left of the kids meals and I just managed to save him taking this selection away. Needless to say, it was a quite less than happy rate. Clear dark amber color with bone colored head. Some specialty malt aromas, but nothing in the real toasty, munich malt area. Light malty sweetness and some nuttiness. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Easily my least favorite of this pub’s offerings, the characteristic smokiness (and I love smoked when well used, mind you) really overwhelms a decent semi-sweet, full-bodied effort here. All I got in the end was charcoal and some hints of caramel. But I still will miss Milwaukee. Skyview (4057), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 20, 2008 On draught at the brewery/brewpub in Delafield, Wisconsin. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of malty caramel, some flowery hops, a touch of toffee and brown sugar. Taste is light to medium bodied, some carbonation with light flavors of caramel and flowery hops. Finish is watery with little aftertaste if any. Ughsmash (4042), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 20, 2005 Clear deep reddish-amber pour with a very light head. Light-medium bodied. Spicy aroma with sweet malts and faint scotch. Nice sweet caramel malts provided much of the flavor... and the hops came through toward the rather watery finish. Pretty good compared with the brewery’s other offerings. badgerben (3603), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 18, 2005 Brown color with a medium head. Slightly spiced malt aroma. The taste wasn’t quite right... stale malt and grains with a muddle hop finish. Watery. Why the heck was this being served in spring?
