JK (2945), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Jul 31, 2009 Cloudy orange appearance. Moderate hops in the aroma with pine. Hops are also prominent in the flavor, slightly better than mild bitterness, and the malt takes a back seat. Very light on the palate, so light that it ruins the beer for me. FlssmrBrewAlum (1079), Lisle, Illinois, USA Feb 16, 2009 Sampler poured draft at the brewpub (milwaukee, wi). Pours a nice glowing hazy amber body with moderate whitish head that sustains. Aromas are light pale malts, subtle florals and citrus hops. Underpowered. Initial is a bit watery, light pale malts dance with subtle citrusy hops. Sessionable, quenching, but far from a formidible pale ale. Finishes with a bit of soap on the palate but largely forgettable. thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Sep 14, 2008 On tap at Water Street Brewery in Milwaukee. Pours a rich amber color with a nice white head that produced a nice amount of lacing. Nice to see "beer clean" glasses at a bar. The aroma is your typical citrus hop and a touch of malt to back it up. Flavor was nice and easy. It was hoppy enough to make me happy and malty enough to balance out the beer. The flavor was a nice melding of citrus hops and caramel malts. This was a very easy to drink bee. The only complaint I have, not a big one, was that it seemed a little safe. in a world full of outstanding Pale Ales, I think sometimes you should try to stand out a bit, this was just a little safe...but good. esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jun 15, 2008 On tap at Water Street Brewery in Milwaukee. Cloudy amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma of citrus hops with mild pale malt. Taste of citrus hops, caramel with a light bitter hop finish. Body is over carbonated and a bit to grainy. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jun 2, 2008 Pours an attractive copper body with a small white head. Prevalent citrus flavors as well a nice balance between malts and hops. Soft in bitterness, and very easy to drink. rederic (1785), montréal, Quebec, Canada May 13, 2008 On tap at the Milwaukee location, amber color, with a beige head, fruity citrusy, orange, grapefruit nose from the flowery hop leafy accent, with some toasted, light cramel malts, with a faint cedary aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasty malt, floral hop juicy leafy character, a good coniferous, cedary accent, some fruity citrusy notes, leading towards a malty, leafy, grassy hop bitternees finish. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Apr 20, 2008 On draught at the brewery/brewpub in Delafield, Wisconsin. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has some good retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt, citrus hops with a touch of sweet apple. Taste is light, crisp with some citrus and caramel flavors. Finish is slightly watery with a hint of mild dry bitterness. cblado (146), Wisconsin, USA Mar 9, 2008 On tap at Water Street Brewery. Appeared to be a orangish, cloudy amber. Large off-white head on it. Not much of an aroma, slightly hoppy. Taste was a sweet toffee at first. Definitely the sweetest APA I’ve had. Finished with some hop flavor, but lacked a significant bite. All in all it was decent, but not spectacular.
