On tap at Water Street Brewery. Appeared to be a orangish, cloudy amber. Large off-white head on it. Not much of an aroma, slightly hoppy. Taste was a sweet toffee at first. Definitely the sweetest APA I’ve had. Finished with some hop flavor, but lacked a significant bite. All in all it was decent, but not spectacular.

On tap. Pours cloudy copper. Aroma is caramel malts, and a citrus hop. Taste is caramel malt, with a spicy citrus hop. Light on the body. Not really that good. Left with too much hop bite and a dry bitter sour flavor.

7/28/07 On draught at the brewery. Aroma is sweet malt forward with caramel and some citrus hop character. Appearance is light copper, hazy, with no head. Flavor is light, with sweet malt forward, some earthiness. Low hop character, musty, possibly oxidized, with a very sour finish. Mouthfeel is medium/low bodied with a medium carb feel. Overall, this just has too much sourness and oxidization standing out, making this pretty tough to drink.

On tap downtown. Overal pretty average for an american pale. The cascade come through on the aroma but dont stand up well throughout the beer. I’m a hophead so this didn’t cut it for me.

opaque orange, wispy white head, fresh citrus hop aroma with a light floral quality, a bit thin, lots of hop flavor leads to a long bitter finish, slightly sweet malt tries to add balance but falls short to allow the hops to be the whole show,

picking up a nice sweet grapefruit to the aroma, caramel sweetness does a better job balancing the hops

Poured a nice ruby and copper color with a dense, off-white head that was creamy and lasting. Solid lacing. The aroma was spice, floral hops, some citrus and some roasted malt. The flavor had a lot of smoke, roasted malt and spice with floral and citrus hops making cameos. The mouthfeel was average at best and seemed almost grainy at times. Pretty nice for a microbrew APA.

Saaz hops seemed to dominate the flavor. It is a very hopped up beer but were not over powering. A slightly different take on the old pale ale theme.

On tap at Water Street - Delafield. Poured a clear medium amber with a 1" creamy beige head. Aroma picked up sweet caramel and floral notes with pine resin and a touch of herbal hoppage.. rather faint overall. The flavor was carried by pine resin and grapefruit bitterness which paired well with the sweet caramel base.. higher bitterness with a sweet resiny finish.. tasty. Nice balance with the bitterness a little sharp at points.. a tad abrasive at the finish. This would make a solid session brew.
