IrishBoy (2129), Bakersfield, California, USA Jul 9, 2008 Draft at the brewpub; Nose of lemony, citrus hops; hazy yellow-orange with a medium glass-lacing white head; flavor is a grainy, rye breadish bitterness with it finishing fairly bitter. Different APA!
Angeloregon (1898), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 1, 2008 On tap at Water Street Brewing in Port Townsend, WA--This one was brewed with Horizon hops. Poured a cloudy orange-amber body with next to no head. Oniony citrus nose. Mild malty spiny that withered away after a sip. Floral presence disappeared into watery dullness. in the finish. SuzyGreenberg (934), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 28, 2008 draft @ collins pub - an aptly named brew indeed; dark gold with big head; some hops in the aromas, but mostly stale and somewhat off putting; thin body and some sweet citrus; next!! anders37 (2582), Malmö, Sweden Jul 20, 2008 Draught @ Collins Pub, Seattle. Pours a hazy orange color with a small white head. Fruity malty citrus aroma. Slightly sweetish malty hoppy bitter flavor with hints of citrus. Dry malty hoppy bitter finish with some hoppy bitter grapefruit in the aftertaste. BrewDad (1657), Olympia, Washington, USA Mar 18, 2008 Taster - Water Street Brewery - Port Townsend, WA.
Aroma – Nice single hop IPA aroma, good mix of malts.
Appearance – Amber in color, small head and clear.
Flavor – Had a great IPA flavor. The beer was truly hopped up with a single hop and a good balance with malts.
Palate – Great Mouthfeel, good texture with a dry finish.
Overall – The Single hop was Simcoe which brought out both a great bitterness and fruity tang. This was a very nice beer.
