Commercial Description:
A traditional Irish dry stout. Dispensed with nitrogen, its nearly opaque appearance is capped with a dense, creamy white head. Use of a high percentage of roasted grains in this darkest of ales adds a good roasted-coffee flavor and aroma.

Not to rip off what has already been said by Aracuana. But it did have a taste that made you think they had dumped some cocoa powder in the glass when you were not looking. This place is kind of cool to hang out in if you can get past some of the people in the bowling alley. But on that tip they have great beers.

I’m not really big on dispensing beer with nitrogen but this was good. I can only imagine how good it’d be without the nitrogen. Nice opaque beer, typical wet soupy cream head of nitrogen beers that never even came close to being thin even though I spent 20 minutes on it. The flavor is very chocolatey. More cocoa powder than milk chocolate or dark chocolate. At times it almost tasted like they dumped some hot cocoa mix in the beer as it had a small bit of fine grittiness on the palate. In the finish the coffee came out a bit more. This was a real surprise beer since I wasn’t expected much since it’s tucked in between the video arade and bowling alleys at US Play.
