(Bottle 25 cl) Pours a clear, reddish mahogany with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt and....licorice. Fairly full body with plenty of malt - sweet, roasted malt. No real bitterness. A real pleasant winter warmer. 240806

From tap at Domus. Pours dark brown with a small deep orange to amber glare and a slowly collapsing off-white head. Raisin and overripe fruity aroma from the yeast and a roasted dark caramel malt note too. Solid sweet flavoured. Vague metallic note to a rather toffee sweet dark caramel malt flavour mixed with a light fruity touch. Ends with a lasting toffee malt impression.

Bottle 25cl @ [ Tasting in Ulfborg ].
Clear light red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, acidic - sour malt, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light light acidic with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (110708)

Bottle. Weak, sourish aroma, reminding me of oud bruin. Dark brown colour, very small head. Sweet flavour with some toffee, slightly acidic. Strange, sugary toffee flavour, not my kind of Scotch ale.

Courtesy of Fonefan. It’s a beautiful red mahogany color and the head is creamy. The aroma has sweetness and notes of malt and metal. The flavour has sweetness, notes of slightly sour malt, berries and fruit, and it ends on a slightly dry and sour note.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Rhummy aroma with mango. Sweet roasty flavor with pear and melon. Hint of cinnamon. Warming alcohol. Too sweet. Sticky mouthfeel.

A Mes rate: Draught at Le Cirio. Not much going on really other than plenty of sugary fruit and caramel. Nice clean mouthfeel considering it feels quite thick. Faint alcohol in the nose. Lovely mahogany red colour. The more I drink the more comes through in the flavour. (Just upped to a 7). Plums and molasses and some stoney fruits. Some metal nots let it down a little but a decent beer overall.

red-brown colour, fine head, malty nose with touch of caramel and candy, full and very (too) sweet, long sweet and dry finish
