Aug 6, 2006 Bottle. Creamy white excellent fully lasting ehad. Yellow colour. A littel week but still very nice aroma. Good powerfull flavor. Long finish. Oily palate, lost to Raasted and Dacapo in tripel tasting!!!!!!!

Jul 27, 2006 lemony citrus aroma. clear gold. a very simplistic tripel. citrus flavor with light marshmallow and maybe even some vanilla. no distinct yeast character.

Jul 26, 2006 From the smaller 11.2oz capped bottle.
Pours a lightly hazy deep gold. Thin ivory head, very lacy. Smells of caramel and molasses. Fruity. Baked apple. Hints of port or sherry.
Taste is similiar to the smell. Deep rich caramel malt. Candy sugar and vanilla. Port like and woody. A bit of hops. Very sticky mouth. Pretty drinkable. Pretty good tripel.

Jul 24, 2006 Bottle (from Bitter Virtue, BB Aug 08). Not particularly strongly flavoured but contains a nice balance of soft fruitiness, sweet malt, light citrus and smooth slightly spicy hop finish at the end. Pretty good and well worth trying again.

Jul 11, 2006 Bottle. I found it to be pretty average as far as tripels go, nothing too different, and very similar to their Bernardus Tripel. Had a good head with a lot of lacing. Yeast and oranges/apricots in both the nose and flavor. A good beer despite being average.

Jul 11, 2006 Bottle, 33cl. Hazy amber colour with a thin white head, that lasts less than expected. The aroma is yeasty, combined with notes of flowers and candy sugar, everything very well balanced. Flavour is excellent, very rich and aromatic, with hints of orange and pineapple. Medium body and a sweet light warming alcoholic dry finish. It becomes better if served at higher temperatures than normal.

Jul 11, 2006 Updated: Sep 2, 2007Bottle from Utobeer. A light tripel. Easy pour - caramel in colour with small white head. Brown sugar aroma with fruity undertones. Initial taste of vanilla develops into a light spicy rum with a long refreshing finish likened to that of a wheat beer. Highly carbonated *burp* Scuse me. Better than most tripels. This one’s a keeper.

Jul 3, 2006 Small bottle. Very light sediment is layered on the side of the Orval glass. The beer is dark orange. Light head. Moderate aroma of candy sugar and tangerine. Soft palate and flavour. I didn’t notice the spice in the initial sips or finish but seemed to emerge well after. Strong pepper character. With additional sips the spice is more up front. The fruit hinted at in the aroma comes through in the flavour along with a candy sugar sweetness. A solid beer.
