maeib (4000), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Feb 19, 2006 Bottled. A reddy brown coloured beer with a nice off white head. The aroma is massive; meaty and fruity. Thick and nose filling. Some burnt chocolate notes in there amidst the woodiness. The taste is absolutely gorgeous. Thick moussey fruits. Wood and chocolate. Exceptionally long finish. Big malty flavours with fruity hops balance in perfect harmony. I wouldn’t class this as a tripel but I would class it as World Class as a beer.
JK54B (385), Finland Oct 6, 2008 A bottle tasted at Hilpeä Hauki. Pale beige head. Pale hazy yellow colour. Apple in the nose. Strong taste. Quite foaming. Some coriander and grass in the nose. Also soft apple in the taste. Some hints of marzipan in the finish. NoiZe (945), Zeist, Netherlands Oct 5, 2008 CLoudy orange colored brew. Yeasty, fruity aroma. Flavor is yeasty, fruits, spices. Nice tripel. CaryTheDude (263), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Sep 30, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Lots of fruitiness in the nose, apples and pears. Very lightly carbonated giving a awesome mouthfeel, which is also the best part of this beer. Dug it more than most other tripels I’ve had recently. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 18, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy to murky orange with a small off-white head. Quite phenolic yeast aroma with mild spice notes. Flavour is sweet and spiced with a distinct yeast presence. Light caramel malt presence. A bit too dominant on the yeast for my liking. Ends sweet and light spiced. BMan1113VR (905), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Sep 16, 2008 Pours with a large off-white head, covereing a hazy golden body with lots of yeasties. Head leaves great lacing. Aroma of honey, bread, and pears. Taste is sweet with alcohol, oxidation notes, and yeast. Dryish mouthfeel, Slightly fizzy.
