| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 13, 2009 A: Nice pour with a large, frothy white head that hung around for awhile and then dissipated to about 1-finger size. Very nice lacing on the sides of the glass in web forms. Body is a dark-golden color and hazy.
S: Aroma comes through as mostly yeast and several examples of fruit, such as lemon, orange, and others I’m no good at identifying.
T: Bready yeast and fruity, hints of lemon and orange coming through. Finishes with a moderate warmth from the alcohol, but by no means overpowering. Very nice.
M: Great on the palate, with a medium-to-full body and creamy texture, and quite lively carbonation.
D: A very nice tripel; not quite up to snuff with the St. Bernardus Tripel, but still very enjoyable and actually fairly easy to put one back. madmitch76 (645), , Essex, England
