Ethereal (894), London, Greater London, England Sep 1, 2008 On tap at the White Horse, 25th August 2008. Cloudy yellow with the expected aroma. This is a simple but effective wheat beer. It does things by the book but does them well. Borresteijn (542), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 14, 2008 On tap at De Geuzen. Pale yellow-orange colour, white head. Aroma is smell of decay, nutmeg, bad hops. Flavour is initially fresh, sour and citric, but turns really bad afterwards. Tastes off. Tried it from different kegs, all were of the same horrible quality. Defreni (482), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 9, 2008 Flaske. Lys strågul witbier. God duft af koriander. Smagen er udmærket men en smule tynd, den får slet ikke udnyttet de 5% ordentligt. Mærkelig tynd mundfylde. Lidt kedelig witbier. larsniclas (2795), Gothenburg, Sweden Jul 27, 2008 Bottled.
Hazy golden with a small, white head.
Spicy, slighlty nutty aroma.
Grassy flavour withsome clove.
Fresh and sweet maltiness. bee__R (31), Cantù, Italy Jul 23, 2008 25 cl bottle. Pured in two times because of a abundant, creamy, fluffy and long lasting head. The beer is oddly really clear, almost transparent I’d say. Only the finishig part, poured after some sips, turns to a more wit-like hazy colour (at least what I expect from a wit beer!). Anyway golden-yellow.
The aroma is very light, I’d say soft, although quite complex and various. Spicy and banana tones come first, than orange peel and a dash of citrus. I can feel also some yeast character but anything overwhelming.
The body is medium-light, almost watery for me, but a light and long lasting fizzines coats the mouth and dominate the aftertaste as well.Anyway a mix of sourness and bitetrness leave a pleasant feeling which matchs with spicy tones.
In my opinion a little bit of character is lacking
